2nd Annual Faith & Affordable Housing Summit
Council Member Tiffany D. Thomas invites you to the 2nd Annual Faith & Affordable Housing Summit on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Kingdom Builders’ Center on West Orem.

This gathering will bring together faith leaders, developers, financial partners, and community advocates to explore how Houston can lead the nation in transforming underutilized land into housing, opportunity, and hope.

Religious institutions across the country own more than 2.6 million acres of land. Too often, this land sits idle—but in Houston, we have an opportunity to reimagine how it can serve families and communities. At this year’s summit, you will hear from financial leaders, developers, and faith institutions that are already charting the path forward. From innovative financing models to inspiring real-world examples, the event will showcase how faith and finance can align for community transformation.

We are honored to welcome Congressman Emanuel Cleaver II, an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church and the Ranking Member of the House Committee on Housing and Insurance, who will share special remarks on pending national housing legislation with the power to be transformational. We will also hear from Pastor Kirbyjon Caldwell, whose leadership at Windsor Village turned 234 acres of land into more than 450 homes—a living testament to faith put into action, and other special guests.

In addition, leaders from Guaranty Bank, Greater Houston Builder’s Association, and the City of Houston’s Housing and Community Development Department will share practical insights, and Enterprise Community Partners will make a major announcement.

This is more than just a conference—it is a movement. If you are a faith leader, developer, financial partner, or community builder, this is your invitation to join us in creating solutions that advance housing, equity, and opportunity for families across Houston.

The summit will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Kingdom Builders’ Center, 6011 W Orem Dr. Houston, TX 77085 at 8:30AM CST.
Space is limited. To confirm your participation, please register here.
