The Catalina Apartments located at 11555 Bissonnet in Southwest Houston celebrated the first phase of renovations with a ribbon cutting ceremony on October 31st. On hand to assist owner Fred Bhandara were State Representative Hubert Vo, Councilmember MJ Khan and International District Board Chair Wea Lee.
The apartments received funding from the Texas Community Development Block Grant Program in December of 2009. They worked with the City of Houston and AFS-TFC Construction to begin the first phase of the total transformation of the property. New landscaping, refurbished pools and playgrounds are also in the plans. Thanks to responsible property owners, such as Mr. Bhandara, the residents will soon be enjoying their beautiful, new, energy efficient homes.
