For the month of May, our program presentation topic will be:
“HPD Hate Crimes Unit”
The Houston Police Department Hate Crimes Unit will unravel some of the mysteries of hate crimes and discuss how cases are handled from the initial call to making a final determination of whether to classify a case as hate or bias motivated crime. They will also discuss the differences between hate incidents and hate crimes.
