The U.S. Centers For Disease Control and Prevention’s eviction moratorium expires Saturday. But the U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has started, as of today, a national list of programs that offer rental assistance to tenants and landlords who are unable to continue making or collecting rent payments due to the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The CFPB has identified two such programs to which eligible renters and landlords may apply: A Houston-Harris County program and a state of Texas program.
