Elder Abuse Awareness Day, June 15

Nearly 1 in 10 adults aged 60 and older experience domestic violence, most at the hands of family or trusted individuals. Abuse ranges from physical harm and neglect to financial exploitation, costing an estimated $36.5billion annually and significantly increasing survivors’ risk of premature death.
