Little Saigon & the Walk of Honor
The International District wears its heritage in the open. Bilingual street signs marked with the district logo guide you through the heart of Houston’s Little Saigon — home to thousands of families who resettled here after the Vietnam War. The Vietnamese Walk of Honor commemorates nine South Vietnamese generals who served alongside U.S. forces. And on the medians of Bellaire, Bissonnet, and Beechnut, 22 mini-globes celebrate the nations our residents call home — the international spirit that gives the District its name.

Honoring Service
The Vietnam War Memorial
Two bronze figures — an American and a South Vietnamese soldier — stand together at the heart of the District. Built by Houston’s Vietnamese community, the memorial honors their own brave soldiers and thanks the American servicemen who fought alongside them.
